Packed full with eleven vibrant worship songs, Father Me is the new studio recording from Paul Oakley.

Songs like opening track "Beautiful", "No other God", "Astounded by the mystery" and the outstanding arrangement of F. R Havergal's "Take my life and let it be" ooze with the pop sensibilities offered by Coldplay, Keane and Muse. "Breathtaking" is just that, with Paul delivering a vocal reminiscent of Elvis Costello, while Paul Weller's influence is most evident on song of praise "Shout from the roof". With its lush string arrangement "Father me" is the studio recording of an already established event favourite and alongside the country ballad "Ever faithful God" represents the most universally accessible worship song.

The acoustic "I am not ashamed" has a strong Beatles/Lennon feel while the moody "Breathe on me" and redemption hymn "This is for me" draw the album to a close.

"Father Me" from Paul Oakley on the Kingsway Music label is another excellent slice of pop-drenched worship from one of Britain's most popular worship leaders.
